After a couple of years of listening to customer feedback and working to improve the overall functionality of the M lineup, Dynavap has now released the brand new M7 and M7 XL dry herb extraction devices.
Dynavap vaporizers work by heating a “captive cap” via a butane torch or induction heater until the cap makes an audible click. At that time, the bowl is heated to its preferred temperature and you can begin drawing vapor from the mouthpiece. There are no batteries, no electronics, just the vaporizer and whatever heat source you provide.
I use my Dynvap vaporizers mostly while out hiking, biking, camping, or in most scenarios where I won’t have access to electricity for multiple days. There are a few vaporizers on the market like the Venty and the new Solo 2 Max that can last a couple of days worth of vaping, but it’s nice to always have a surefire backup with the Dynavap vaporizers.
The downside to the Dynavap thermal extraction devices is that you must use a butane torch while out and about which can look pretty odd to the unsuspecting person. There is also the risk of running out of butane but I’ve found the torches last a long time, especially for the average vaporent.
So far I’m impressed by the new M7 and I’m enjoying the M7 XL’s extra cooling and overall feeling in the hands. The new textured finish provides a unique exterior while adding some much-needed grip to the otherwise slick surface of previous year’s M models.
There is a bit of a learning curve with all Dynavap vaporizers but overall this new M7 version is extremely forgiving and easy to use for first-timers.
The new M7 is also roughly $15 cheaper than its predecessor and retails for $75. You can click here to pick up the new M7 or M7 XL directly from Dynavap. They are running a BOGO sale right now. You get a FREE previous year’s M Plus model with the purchase of a new M7 or M7 XL. That deal runs from March 15th to March 28th and I highly recommend jumping on it while they still have stock of the previous model.

Included in the Box
There is two versions of the new M, the M7 ($75), and the M7 XL ($100). Dynavap also offers the M7 Starter Pack ($125) which includes the Honest Single Torch, Dynawax, the Walnut Dynastash, and replacement o-rings.
If you’ve never purchased a Dynavap vaporizer before I recommend going with the Starter Kit because it includes the torch. If you already have all that at home, you can pick up just the M7 or M7 XL.
Dynavap is also selling the XL Condenser assembly with mouthpiece for $35 which means you can pick up the regular M7 and the XL condenser and you have yourself a new standard M7 and the M7 XL for $105 (plus a free M Plus if you get it before March 28th).
The new M condenser is compatible with all previous M models, the WoodWynd, the Omni and the Vong.
Build Quality and Design
The Dynavap vaporizers have always provided a unique build quality and design especially when compared to most other portable vaporizers. They are lightweight, fairly easy to hold and pass around, and consist of only a few pieces.
The stainless steel construction renders the Dynavaps basically indestructible. The only thing you have to keep track of is the captive caps. Those have a tendency to walk off and disappear kind of like my socks in the dryer. Where the f do they even go I don’t get it.
M7 Key Features:
- The new M7 features a new finless tip design (more heat transfer, keeps fingers cooler)
- Even extraction
- More airflow/more convection heating
- Adjust-a-bowl – microdosing – reduce bowl by half
- More mass in the chamber/bowl provides efficient heating, easier to use for beginners
- New textured finish for better grip
- The mouthpiece will fit 10mm female joints
- XL mouthpiece version features 6 adjustable airflow settings (extended condenser reduces airflow, shortening increases airflow)
All of the Dynavap dry herb extraction devices are covered “forever” and protect against any functional issues. They also back up purchases with a 90-day 100% satisfaction guarantee meaning you can return the product for a full refund within the 90-day window. No questions asked. You can find more information about the Dynavap warranty and refund policy here. (link)
Vapor Quality and Draw Resistance
The first rip out of a Dynvap is a wonderful experience. The flavor is exceptional and the lower temps create some of the best vapor I’ve gotten out of a portable vaporizer.
The conduction heating takes over after the first rip and the taste/vapor quality tends to drop off a cliff after that but oh man is that first hit magical. Every time I come back to a Dynavap vaporizer, the first hit is such a tasty experience.
The draw resistance is variable and depends on how exactly you will be using your Dynvap. I recommend a fully packed-down chamber to help with the conduction heating aspect which will usually increase draw resistance.
The Dynvap vaporizers all come with an “airport” or “choke” if you will that allows the chamber to breathe while you inhale. This allows you to fluctuate the temperature and amount of vapor that you’re inhaling. While the port is closed, the draw resistance is similar to the Arizer vaporizers and there is quite a bit of resistance. As you continue to inhale, you can let off the “airport” a bit to let some airflow in.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Overall the M7 and all dynavap vaporizers are easy to clean and maintain. All the pieces come apart and can be dropped in some isopropyl alcohol for cleaning. Be sure to remove the o-rings prior. You can clean the o-rings with warm soapy water.
Be sure to wax up the o-rings before fitting them back on the vaporizer and let everything dry properly before using the device again.
M7 Review Summary
Overall the Dynvap vaporizers fill a void. There are no batteries, and no electronics and they feel similar to previous smoking habits. The dynavap vaporizers can be a nice transition from combustion because they emulate some of the same tendencies such as a one-hitter or a joint-style session.
I really enjoy the first rip or two and you can pretty much clear the entire chamber in 1-3 hits depending on your preference, loading styles, herb consistency, etc.
I’ve also found the Dynavap vaporizers best for one-person sessions as the chamber is too small for group settings. Because of this, the Dynavap vaporizers are extremely efficient and can really help preserve your herb.
Last but not least, the Dynvap vaporizers are some of the most affordable options currently on the market. The new M7 and M7 XL both retail for $100 or less and they will never break, never need a new battery, or suffer damage to electronics from a drop or tumble. They will more than likely out last the both of us.
The new M7 retails for $75 ($15 cheaper than previous M Plus), the M7 XL retails for $100 and the M7 Starter Pack retails for $125. If you are new to the Dynavap experience I recommend going with the Starter Pack because it includes the torch, o-ring wax, and the beautiful dynastash carrying case.
You can click here to pick up the M7 vaporizer directly from Dynavap. Don’t forget to use coupon code VAPEWIZ10 to save 10% and you’ll need to pick up some butane as well. I recommend Colibri Premium Butane and you pick it up from Amazon here.
