The Boundless CF vaporizer is a hybrid conduction/convection portable vaporizer that mimics the looks and performance of the Crafty Plus (Crafty Plus Vaporizer Review). While the CF vaporizer doesn’t hit the quality levels of the Crafty Plus, the CF retails for $98 which is a lot cheaper than the Crafty Plus.
The CF vape is one of the most consistent vaporizers at this price point. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and a great purchase for the first-timer.
There’s no fancy display or full temp control but the quick heat-ups, overall consistency, and vapor quality make this a very enjoyable vaporizer to use.
It works well with solo single-person sessions or large groups and you can load any amount without having to stir or mix your herbs.
Boundless also makes the CFX which is the bigger version that basically mimics the Mighty vaporizer. It comes with better battery life, a full temp spectrum with display but much larger than the CF. The CF is definitely easier to pocket and easier to conceal out on the go. Check out my CFX Vaporizer review for more info.

Size, Portability, and Build Quality
The CF vape is easy to pocket and for the most part pretty easy to conceal but still a bit bulkier compared to some of the smallest units like the Pax 2 or XMAX Starry.
It’s easy to pass around which makes it great for group sessions. It’s easy to load with no packing techniques or grinding requirements and overall the unit has a pretty solid build quality. I haven’t had any hard drops or falls with my CF but I will be using it more frequently during outdoor activities to see how it holds up.
Accessories and Warranty Info
The CF vaporizer comes with a user manual, USB charging Cable, wax/concentrate pod, cleaning brush and a packing tool. These are pretty much your standard accessories for a vape in this price range.
The Boundless CF Vape comes with a three-year manufacturer warranty with a one-year warranty on the battery. Boundless will also replace the battery after the one-year warranty for $25. That is a darn good warranty for a vape that cost under $150
Heating Specs and Temp Options
The CF vaporizer heats up in around 20 seconds which is outstanding for a vape at this price point. You don’t get the full temp spectrum like on the CFX, but you get five presets starting at 355F, jumping by 15-degree intervals and ending at 415F. The bowl is on the larger side and can hold upwards of .5 grams, however, you can also partially pack the bowl with good results without any spacers or screens which is actually sort of rare.
Vapor Quality and Usage Tips
The vapor quality and vapor density are my two favorite features of this vaporizer. While the vapor quality falls short of the Crafty due to more conduction and a less fancy cooling unit, this is one of the best tasting vaporizers that you can get under $150. Good flavor, cool temps with no need to stir or mix the chamber. The CF can also pump out very dense clouds when that’s your goal.
The CF is also pretty free-flowing vaporizers which make it easy to draw from and perfect for outdoor adventures. Some vaporizers require quite a bit of lung power to get a good draw and that’s hard to do while out biking, hiking, skiing, boarding, etc… You don’t have to worry about that with the CF. You can also pass it to a friend without any advice or instruction. Just hit it.
Boundless CF Usage Tips:
The first recommendation I have is to pick up a grinder. Grinders make a huge difference in the performance of your vaporizer. Any grinder will improve performance, however, my very favorite is the Santa Cruz Shredder 3-piece.
You can load any amount in the chamber and get good results. A tighter pack seems to get a bit more of the conduction effects, and a loose pack provides a tiny bit more convection.
Keep the screens clean and give it a good charge before using it the first time.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The CF and CFX are pretty easy to clean and maintain. Make sure to brush out the screen and chamber after each session. I also recommend emptying the chamber after a session. Leaving herbs in the chamber after a session can increase the cleaning frequency.
The mouthpiece comes apart pretty easily and you just need to soak it in soap and water for 5-10 minutes to clean it up. Take a q-tip with a small amount of ISO and swab out the chamber after 10-15 sessions.
Battery Information
The CF by boundless vapes uses an internal, non-replaceable, rechargeable 1300 mAh battery. I’ve been averaging around 50 minutes on a full charge and roughly 150 minutes to fully charge the battery from dead via USB.
The battery life is not the best but still pretty good for the size and price point. If you need to extend it, you can carry an external battery pack and easily charge the CF multiple times.
The CF does NOT have a replaceable battery so the only way to charge it is via USB.

Boundless CF Review Wrap-Up
The CF vaporizer is one of the bestselling portable vaporizers under $100. It’s easy to use, easy to maintain, and delivers quick, consistent, quality results.
This is a great vaporizer for first-timers and super easy to use with groups or single-person sessions.
It is also perfect for anyone who has had their eye on the Crafty or Mighty but cannot justify the steep prices, I like to say you get over 75% of the performance at under 50% the price with the boundless units.
You can click here to pick up the CF from my recommended authorized retailer. They have free, fast discreet shipping and they usually throw in a free gift like a grinder or storage container.
