I’m a big fan of the Dr. Dabber Boost EVO and Switch dab rigs, mostly because they are easy to use and maintain. The self-cleaning aspects of both of these vaporizers are why I reach for them most. Check out my Dr. Dabber Boost EVO vs. Switch Dab Rig comparison below, and hit me up with any questions.

Portability Aspect
First and foremost, the Boost Evo is the more portable vaporizer of the two. While both dab rigs conceal nicely into their protective cases, the Switch is a big dab rig. It’s not the best to use at the park, the beach, hiking, or anywhere else discretion and portability are needed.
I still bring the Switch over to a buddy’s house occasionally, but it’s not going anywhere other than someone’s home.
Custom Options (Temps)
The Switch is the better option if you want more control over your sessions—specifically, the temperature options.
The Switch has 25 temperature settings, ranging from 300F to 780F (20-degree intervals), and is better for micro-dosing or low-temp dabs.
Self-Cleaning
Both units are easy to clean, especially compared to other portable dab rigs currently on the market. But the feature that sets the Switch apart from ALL others is the Self-Cleaning feature.
I couldn’t find the exact temperature that the Switch reaches, but the site says, “The Switch is capable of cleaning your Ceramic Induction Cup by running a high energy heat cycle.” DO NOT inhale at this temp and be sure to clean out the induction cup after running this cycle, but it literally does everything for you.
This is one of my favorite features on a vaporizer (dab rig).
Heating Times
The Switch has an average heat-up time of around four seconds. The Boost averages about 11 seconds. Not a huge deal, but the Switch will technically get you medicated quicker.
Battery Life
The Switch offers better battery life but can only charge via DC. Whereas the Boost Evo can charge via USB-C (better for portability).
The Switch features a replaceable battery system, but extra batteries run $80 and can only charge within the device.
Dry Herb Use
Switch Mentions Dry Herb Use, but I can’t recommend you buy it for that purpose. It does work, but it’s not a pleasant experience. Read more about it in my full Switch Dab Rig review.
